Question: Car running hot

I have a 93 for escort and I change the thermostat and drained and flushed the coolant and the car has not run hot for two week now its running hot could it be the coolant temp sensor or a bad radiator and also the radiator fans are working I also hear a bubble noise when shut the car off and the check engine light comes on

    did you check the water pump? or it could be a head is about to go take it into a hop and have them diag it for you

    My 91 escort used to do same thing and then one day while I was driving the water pump seized up & my timing belt snapped I had oil in where the cam-shaft does its thing & it was a HUGE pain to fix. I was lucky that none of my lifters ended up bent or I would've needed to replace engine (or whole car which would've been cheaper than putting new engine in).

    You should get your car into a shop that won't BS you just to get as much money as possible out of you & have them run a diagnostics. Then take your car to at least 1-2 more other non-affiliated shops as well for a 2nd - 3rd opinion. Just to be sure.
