1990 BMW 325i Question: car overheats
i have changed the head gasket and water pump and thermostat but still overheats is there a wat to power flush the system at home? is so is there a chemical best for this .i foung ice like crystals when i did the gasket and cleaned the best i could in motor and head.have to do at home caar is all apart as i am doing resto - whtevr9491
Is there an excess amount of water coming out of your exhaust?Did you flush the radiator? Also an over heating problem could make the water pump go bad also. - Lowcountry_shawn
When you changed the head gasket did you send the head to a machine shop to have it checked and serviced? There's no such thing as "ice crystals". That is excessive corrosion do to lack of proper servicing. I suspect that you didn't perform the things needed to prevent overheating.
