Question: car only stays on when i have gas pedal press down

my car only stays on with gas pedal down when i let go it turns off i already replaced the fuel filter and fuse what else can it be, i know it wouldnt be the pump cause it wouldnt even turn on if it was, and thanks in advance

    It sounds to me like your throttle body could be dirty or the car engine could be off on the timing. I hope this helps.
