Question: car not starting

 Rookie

Car shut-off while driving and won't start back up. Is this the fuel pump or the coil?

    There are a few systems involve in the starting system.

    Check for spark at the Spark Plugs, Fuel pressure from the Fuel Pump, proper operation (opening) of Fuel Injectors and Engine Timing (camshaft-crankshaft and ignition).

    Thanks Fernando for your response.
    Vehicle cranks after shooting ether in throttle but shut off again. Spark is there but no fuel seems to be getting to throttle. Nor do I here the whinning sound that normally comes from the fuel pump.
