2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Question: Car misses when engine symbol comes on butrns well at high speeds.

Car started missing and engine ligh came on was diagnosed with cam sesor problem and have three times had one put in
but cars engine light comes on but sometimes goes off. Car missess at low speed until check engine light gos off.
Had complete tune-up and cam shaft sensor installed. Runs good when light is off. A friend told me it might be the gas cap not tight but it feels like it is ! What is my next move. I have spent 550. already ! Help !

    I would check your timing belt, if it is old, it will set cam sensor codes and cause the engine to misfire.,

    Im having the same problem. the car came in with a broken timing belt. i replaced it and the check engine light came on. it set a code for cam sensor. i replaced it and the car drove fine for 3 days and the light popped up. i hooked my scanner up and i was reading 0.5 volts so i moved the camshaft sprocket exhaust just a hair to the right and now the scanner is reading -0.5 volts. the car still has the same problem. my marks are dead on. what should i do? can you e-mail me at aiden_anthony@yahoo.com or call 561-932-9251
