1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Question: car makes this ticking sound, like low on oil,but isnt. just had oil changed .

it makes this sound when its idling and when driving. gets faster when you accelerate

    Possible valve rocker arm problem, mechanic needs to hear it!

    WHO changed the oil? Did YOU verify that there actually is the proper amount of oil in it? Before you run it more and possibly cause damage, you might want to do that (on level ground with engine off at least 2-3 minutes).

    sounds like one of the rocker arm.when they take the valve cover off they can fell which rocker arm is wore out or needs tightened...it won't damage your engine !!!
