I turned my fan on the other night to circulate some air. It made an awful racket, so I turned it off and the noise stopped. As soon I made my way out of the parking lot, it was making the same noise when I accelerate. The sound reminds me of a baseball card in a bicycle wheel. Except it varies on my rate of speed.

Turn the key to the on position but do not start the engine.
Now turn on your fan and see if the noise is still there. If so there is
a problem with the blower fan inside the car! If the problem is just when
you accelerate possiable motor mount trouble.
