Car jerks when trying to accelerate to 60km and above, it retains speed at 40km on 2009 Kia Sportage

Check engine lights are illuminated and detects map sensor but the moment a new map sensor was replaced, the whole system shuts down and cannot be started. Could someone help a frustrated soul as I'm worn out paying monies to mechanics who are using trial and error syndrome.
