2000 Ford Focus

Question: Car jerks back and forth and rams down when accel as if no fuel flow. No engine light

The care jerks back and forth when driving, and when accelerating, car slows down and will not ram up as if it is not getting fuel. No engine light on.

    really the best thing to do is to start with the codes in the computer. Any Check Engine Lights On? http://repairpal.com/check-engine-light

    I had the same exact problem on my '01 Ford Focus ZX3. It has the 2.0L 4cyl. 16 valve Z-TEC engine. The problem was the wiring harness leading into the front of the coil pack (replaces what used to be the distributor cap). The harness has three wires. Two thick and one thin. The thin one became disconnected and started causing cylinders to fisfire. Ford makes aftermarket replacement wiring harness. Very easy to splice in new harness wiring.
