Question: Car is making a ticking sound and continues to get louder also jerks a lot.help!

170,000 miles, leaks transmission oil, code 455???, been told car needs oil, but oil changes are done regularly (oil is full), hydraulic lifters suggested, Need an estimated and are repairs more than the car worth -

    lifters are about 35 per and you have 12. the labor is about 7 hours. add fluids and it is around 1000-1200.

    as far as worth fixing?? that is your decision as to whether you can buy a new car.

    the 455 is an evap code that needs a shop to determine the failure.
