1995 Toyota Camry

Question: car intermittantly dies at idol,

twice it died with a couple of "jumps", like gear shift jump while running slow. No engine lights or warning lights or messages show. Car idles and stops approx 1/10 times.

    Check the inlet tube after the air cleaner to make sure there's no cracks or other vacuum leaks. What the transmission fluid look like? How does it shift?

    I didn't notice any problem with shifting but the only time it would idle stop was when the car was in gear.

    Then it sounds like a vacuum leak. Check everything.

    Agree with Hal, vacuum leaks or the car has a problem with the idle air control motor, have replaced several of them!
