Question: car has 233 000 km.There is constant pinging in the engine upon eccelleration.

The pinging occurs especially when going up incline or hill or upon accelleration. It is constant not occasionally.

    use higher octane gas

    Try to fill up your car at a different gas station next time, even try a higher octane fuel.
    There might be excessive carbon build-up in the combustion chamber also, which could be professionally cleaned with special cleaners.
