2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Question: Car Forcing itself and mileage gages and rpm moving crazy

Lizette, 2.2L 4 Cylinder, El Paso, TX, March 09, 2009, 19:44

MY car started forcing itself when pressing gas and the mileage and rpm gages move up and down like crazy by themselves, when i push the gas pedal, it takes a while to get speed and the car stutters in between, i put transmission oil, checked battery, alternator those are fine, once i did oil change the forcing and gages moving by themselves stopped.the mechanic at oil change said it is leaking motor oil alot so what could this be?can these issues be caused by lack of motoroil?

Lizette, It is hard to know for sure what the cause of the problem if the problem is not yet determined. An oil leak can contaminate electrical sensors and cause a problem, or if the engine runs very low on oil you could have engine problems, but you will need to have someone diagnose the problem to determine the cause. Good Luck!
