    I'm not sure the coil or your WD40 has anything to do with it. It grinds instead of cranking? These cars had starter issues, and sometimes they damaged the flywheels. Have this inspected.

    That's just what comes to mind. Naturally, we can't hear your noise online and that makes suggesting what may be wrong tough.
