car does not start when key put into ignition' it doesn:t make any clicking noise on 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer

It acts like the starter or igniton is not catching. It doesn't click or make any noise like a dead battery does, sometimes it takes 50 trys before it finally starts the car.

I suspect that the starter is failing. Check that you have battery voltage at the big starter cable, and battery voltage at the smaller START wire at the starter when your assistant turns the key to START. If so, and the starter doesn't run, then it's faulty. If you want to find a specialist, here's a directory link for you: https://repairpal.com/directory?address=37343&car_brand_names=Mitsubishi

My Lancer's having the same problem, but it turned out one of my 20 amp fuses was burned out. Now its doing the same thing AGAIN. Where's the starter?
