"Dee" told that his "body specialist" would repaid my damaged bumper for $900-1000. He called back an hour later to say it would be $1100. Instead and unbeknowst to me, he took the car to an unrelated body shop and gave them $750 and pocketed the rest.
Later in the day, he called me back to tell me his "body specialist" had discovered a "gash" in the "manifold cover" and needed $250 to get a new cover and more to repair it. When I objected, he went off on a tirade, yelling and screaming and hung up the phone. I called back; he went off an another tirade and hung up again. I called back and asked for my car and money back. He refused. He said the only way I'd get my car back was by paying $1100.
When I went to the body shop to pick up my car, they said they only asked for $750 and that he had not brought the car in until the end of the day (I had given it to him at 10 am). They showed me a minor crack in a piece of plastic adjacent to the headlight (that could have been fixed with Crazy Glue) and in the headlight which they offered to fix for the cost of the parts. They were really nice about. There was no "gash" in the manifold cover.
Dee even had solicited me to "invest" in Car Doctors saying he had lined up venture capitalists who were interested, but that40 percent of his cash flow was going to pay off debt. I should have known something was wrong.
This guy is scary.
