starting from a cold engine, the car runs fine for about 10 minutes. Then it just dies while driving. It will re-start but dies again. The fuel pump is new and fuel filter is clean. Sometimes it will hesitate and lurch, cough and then dies.

Sounds like an ignition module or a crank sensor, if you told me which engine you have , is it the 4.6 NorthStar or the 4.9? Then I could be even more specific.

It's the 4.6 Northstar. The crank sensor was replaced on 2-10-10. The engine was decarbed cleaned cylinders and induction on 2-26-10. The car also starts hard sometimes (takes longer to start). This car was a gift and has turned into a nightmare. Thanks for your advise.

Caddy didn't have a 4.6 in 93. It is 4.9, thank god. Dandd is correct it sounds like a ignition module. Still you need to test and not guess.

The engine is a 4.6 according to my smog papers. The crank sensor has been replaced on 2-10-10 and the engine was decarbed cleaned cylinders and induction on 2-26-10. The car also starts hard sometimes (takes longer to start). This car was a gift and has turned into a nightmare. Thanks for your advise.

This is easy, it's your fuel injectors for crying out loud....clean them or replace the faulty injectors. Mechanics will run you around till you are so much in debt to them and then tell you that
before they actually fix the issue at hand. nuff said
