1997 Mitsubishi Diamante Question: car cutting off
Answer #1Bret Bodas from RepairPal Test Shop, October 07, 2009, 13:40Master
There is not enough information here to answer this question. It might be a low idle problem, but these type of problems are very difficult to diagnose when you are a fully trained technician with all the tools and you have the vehicle in your shop. In this forum, it is nearly impossible.
If you can check for diagnostic trouble codes and post them, that might help. The best thing to do is be able to duplicate the problem on a consistent basis and take a mechanic for a test drive to demonstrate the problem to them.

I have a similar problem with my V3000 1994. I had to run on low fuel for a couple of times, ever since when my car heats up and I slow down on the red light my car cuts off. But i bought fuel and still the problem remains. I was thinking maybe, how i drove on last drops of fuel it picked up all the mess from the bottom of the fuel tank and messed up the fuel filter. If so where do i find the filter and what procedures should i take, not to worsen it up. Im on a low budget, so would rather try to fix it myself. I also have a problem with the car overheating, i figured out that the lower pipe has a cut on it, so changed it, but the problem remains. Any ideas?
