car acts like it is run out of fuel, then dies. any ideas? on 1997 Nissan Altima

well it stops and after letting it sit for awhile it will start up and run again. and sometimes it starts up after switch relays around. is there a fuel safety switch and where may it be,

Tell your mechanic just what you posted here and he will fix it right up. Let the mech. keep it a couple days so he can check for no spark when it stalls. My guess is crank sensor, by the time u switch these relays around ect. it cools enough to restart! Again my guess.
I am having the exact same issue...It is very frustrating...

Replacement of the crankshaft sensor usually resolves this problem!
