The Lock Cylinders on Honda can fail like this, sounds like you need a new one.

you have to push it in harder. i have to use the palm of my hand and when i hear it click i turn it out the rest of the way. i have to put a lot of force into it tho but i am a girl =)

You might also make sure nothing has gotten stuck around the gearshift..once I turned my car off and couldn't get my key out no matter what I did..the next day I went out and noticed a penny was stuck in there, so even though I had put the car in park, it didn't shift all the way, therefore my key wouldn't come out.
