cant get ignition key out,can still select park, and car seems to drive ok ? on 2007 Jaguar S-Type

just happened yesterday no warning!

Asked by for the 2007 Jaguar S-Type
The park switch in the shifter assy is supposed the disconnect the battery voltage to the ignition switch lock actuator, so the actuator will release and the key will go into the lock position and allowed to be removed.
where is the switch, is it a big job to change
It's at the bottom of the shifter assy, gaining access to it is the hardest part. Pull the #5 5amp fuse from the right hand fuse box, and see if you can get the key out. The relay is in the right rear distribution box, gearshift interlock relay.
thanks for that ill give it a go cheers
No worries
