Question: CANT FIND HIGH SIDE AC VALVE

 Rookie

I just purchased a 1998 e430 and the ac is blowing out hot air. I bought 2 cans of refrigerant but when i got under the hood i could only find the low side. Can anyone tell me where to look possibly? I put it on a lift and still could not locate..thank you in advance.

    The a/c refrigerant is filled through the low side, use that fitting.

    Refrigerant will only fix your problem for a short time. Chances are your compressor has a leak and needs replacement, if you are putting refrigerant in at least add a die which will show you where it is leaking out ..you might be lucky and find it is a joint, I wouldn't put money on it..
