I had a friend replace all 3 motor mounts, the break booster, and break master cylinder. Is it possible he put anything on too tight? Since I got it back, the break light is stuck on and have NO breaks. I can put my whole body weight on the break petal and the car takes minutes to come to a compleat stop. What do I do? I don't have much money, so I'm doing this alone in my moms garage
Can the break booster be put on too tight? on 2000 Chrysler Sebring
Something was improperly instaled or he did not bleed the brake system out or bench bleed the master cylinder to prime it before installing it. You more than likely have air in the hydraulic lines that needs to be bled out.
SOUNDS LIKE HE LEFT YOUR BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH DISCONNECTED OR BROKE IT. ALSO I BELIVE HE LEFT THE VACCUM SOURCE OFF YOUR BOOSTER WHICH GIVES YOU POWER BRAKES. CK TO SEE IF THERE IS A BIG 3/8 " HOSE THAT IS NOT HOOKED UP TO OUR BOOSTER.
