Can rear shock break and cut wire to my ABS right rear sensor? on 1996 Toyota 4Runner

Should splicing the wire and/or replacing the sensor cost $587? He also estimated $300 to replace the rear shocks. I'm shocked!!!

way over priced for the sensor and labor, shop around for a better price. the rear shocks are a bit high too. look around for pricing at other shops. Roy
