Question: can not start car with keys,have to press alarm reset button on bottom.

put new battery in and had transmission rebuilt

, now car wont start with keys have to press alarm reset button on bottom of steering wheel by the pop open trunck button. what do I do. will I break it always pressing button and turning key at same time to start ignition.

    IS THIS A FACTORY ALARM OR AFTERMARKET? IF ITS AFTER MARKET YOU MAY NEED A NEW CONTROL MODULE. THE BUTTON IS JUST BY APSSING THE WHOLE ALARM SYSTEM. MOST ALRMS HAVE A LIFETIME WARRNTY ON THE MODULES ( CLIFFORD DOES) IF YOU CAN FIND DEALER NEAR U

    It was put in by ford dealership ,thank you for ur response.By bypassing my alarm and pressing button all the time will I break my starter.

    no but sounds like anti theft module has gone bad. if it was installed thru the dealer and not orig equipment its justan aftermarket.find out what kind and call the manf.
