Question: can just the trans still be good if the thing between trans and motor be bad

i was thinking can just the round thing in the front of the trans was bad not the pump in front of that can it be badr stop working does any one that if it can work that way

Either way the trans. will have to be removed! Best to have it checked by a mechanic before any work, now is the time to find out ALL of the problems with your transmission.
