I wish it were that simple as cutting a wire. You have to convince a pretty hefty computer inside of your dash.

IT TOOK ME ALL OF 15 MINS. TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM ON MY OWN.ITS IS AS SIMPLE AS GOING TO THE AIR RIDE DATA LINK CONNECTOR (MOUNTED TO PASSANGERS SIDE STRUT TOWER) WITH THE CAR OFF TAKE A TEST LIGHT AND PROBE THE WIRES ON THE CONNECTOR UNTIL YOU FIND THE ONE THAT HAS POWER WITH KEY OFF (GREEN WIRE MAYBE HAD STRIPE) LEAVE THE TEST LIGHT PROBING THIS WIRE WHILE TURNING ON IGN. POWER. IT SHOULD OF LOST POWER WHEN YOU TURNED ON THE IGN.IF SO(YOU FOUND THE CORRECT WIRE) THIS WIRE NEEDS TO BE HOOKED UP TO IGN. POWER.HOOK IT TO KEY ON POWER AND PRESTO NO MORE CHECK AIR RIDE SUSPENSION.IN FACT IF YOU GO THROUGH YOU OIL LIFE COOLANT LEVEL ETC. ETC. IT SAYS AIR RIDE SUSPENSION OK.GOTTA LOVE IT!!! NO BAGS PUMP OR HEIGHT SENSORS AND IT SAYS AIR RIDE SUSPENSION OK

if you leave your height sensors hooked up, all you have to do is remove the passenger side kick panel (by the feet) there is a little box inside with 3 plugs. disconnect the black plug(which is for the air compressor, level sensors, etc.
system check everytime shows air ride suspension ok as long as your height sensors are still in tact.

Thats simple. All you have to do is remove the Air Suspension Control Module located on the passenger side of the vehicle right behind the kick panel. unplug it and you will be good to go. Your height sensors, leveling sensors, etc are actually located on or near the air bags. if you have already converted it to coil springs then chances are you have already removed these components. Just remove the suspension control module now.

there is no conversion kit that compairs to air ride. that said think twice before converting. the mark8 is a great car and some parts are a little steep but worth mantaining stock. resale may be affected if your convert. two friends of mine regreted their conversion. finally i repaired or should i say completely replaced my intire system for under $800.00 at 88,000 miles. not bad for a 18 year old car. i wont be alive the next time they need to be replaced. lastly i love my 93 mark 8 and it loves me. take care.
