Question: Can I clean the IAC motor myself (and how do I do it), or should it go to a shop

Sometimes hard starting (all weather temps), sometimes high idle for first minute or so (up to 1600 RPM vice 800 or so normal).

    not serviceable. you cannot get to the parts that hang up. replace it only. make sure it is bad before taking a guess. a shop can confirm it for you.
