My check engine light came on, and I had the codes run. Two came back saying a bad ignition coil, and a misfire on cyl 2. It was a week or so before I could have it fixed by a friend. We changed the coil, wires and plugs. When we ran the codes again, it came up insufficient catalytic converter. Could the bad coil/wires/plugs have caused the catalytic converter to fail?
