1995 Toyota Celica Question: can an engine lose pressure if the "oil plug" is not tight?

I drove about 400 miles at a high rate of speed b4 I noticed the oil plug was loose.

    The drain plug only holds the oil in the oil pan and keeps some preassure inthe crank case. newer cars now adays need the pressure inthe crank case to run smooth. as long as you didnt loose alot of oil and the oil light didnt come on your engine should be okay.
