seem to be going faster--according to the troopers --than speedometer says . waiting for transmission repair for slipping and rumbling over 50mph .

2004 Chevrolet Tahoe Question: can a faulty transmission cause inaccurate speedometer readings ?

if you changed the size of the tires, that is the most common issue. it can be calibrated by a speedometer repair shop.

the tires are 17's rather than 16's that are standard . would that cause the speedometer to read lower than actual speed ? thanks again
