I noticed my "o/d off" light was on (I didn't know what it was at the time and possibly did turn it off accidentally). About 30 miles later, on the interstate, using cruise control, the car died. I had gas, battery was good but wouldn't turn over. Toyota dealer diagnosis is replace the "cam shaft position sensor" and that it has nothing to do with the "o/d off". Seems odd that these two unusual things happened. Car has 71K miles and all scheduled maintenance has been done. Just wondering if this makes sense & would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

We specialize in Toyotas and the Toyota dealer is right, your pressing the overdrive button on or off was purely coincidental to the cam angle sensor failing. strange but it was a total fluke. They are on two totally different circuits and have no interaction with each other.
