GM has recalled 1995-1997 Cadillac Deville, Eldorado, Seville, and Oldsmobile Aurora vehicles because the fuel rail and fuel system return line may crack and leak fuel. In the presence of an ignition source, a fuel leak may result in a fire. Dealers will replace the fuel rail and return line.

The inner tie rod nuts may be loose. This may cause detachment of the steering linkage and a loss of steering control. Dealers will inspect and secure the tie rod nuts. Dealers will also check and adjust the toe setting of the wheel alignment.

Cadillac has recalled 1995 DeVille, Eldorado, and Seville vehicles because the air bags may deploy inadvertently. The air bag sensing and diagnostic module may experience water intrusion, which may cause the system to malfunction. Dealers will clean the exterior case of the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) and apply a potting compound to the SDM case and electrical connector body.

Cadillac has recalled 1998 Devillle and Eldorado vehicles because the purge evaporate emissions wiring harness was improperly routed. This could interfere with the speed control and throttle linkage, and may cause the throttle to stay open. Dealers will inspect the harness for proper routing and then install a tie strap to the harness.

THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE OR THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE AND TRACTION CONTROL MODULE CAN CAUSE THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) TO CYCLE DURING A NON-ABS BRAKE APPLICATION.

THE ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER ON THESE VEHICLES COULD HAVE AN INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT DISRUPTING THE PASS KEY SYSTEM, CAUSING FAILURE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES AND TELL-TALES, AND A POSSIBLE NO-START CONDITION. THIS DOES NOT CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 101, "CONTROLS AND DISPLAYS;" NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT;" AND NO. 208, "OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION."

THE FRONT OUTER SHOULDER BELT WEB SEW STOP CAN BECOME STUCK IN THE RETRACTOR. THE BELT CAN BE DIFFICULT TO PULL OUT OF THE RETRACTOR AND SOME OCCUPANTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO FASTEN THE BELT.

IF THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR CLUTCH ASSEMBLY CONTACTS THE AUXILIARY ENGINE OIL COOLER OUT HOSE, THE HOSE MAY WEAR THROUGH ALLOWING ENGINE OIL TO LEAK IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.
