Question: Cabin heater not working.

Question

The cabin heater does not produce heat. The AC runs well and the fan seems to be doing it's job too. When I turn the heater on I can feel air coming out of the vent, it increases as the knob is turned, but no heat is produce. I noticed this recently and has not happened in the past.

I am open to all suggestions.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions I may receive.

You have a blender vent under the dash and if broke it can get stuck in one position which is the A/C. Also, check the heater core to see if there is a buildup of debris which can impede air being drawn across it.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. As you might already know, I am bit of a novice on this. So, if it isnt too much to ask, could you please walk me thru on how I can check if the blender vent is stuck and how to see fi the heater core has buildup. I am a bit ignorant when it comes to this.

Again, thanks for you reply in advance.

These are both intensive inspections which can require removal of the entire dashboard because of how they install them now. If you are still interested send back to me again and i will try to lay it out for you. Also, you never mentioned if you have an overheat problem on the engine which could indicate a faulty thermostat.
