1996 Acura TL Question: bypassing radio code for Acura TL

 Rookie

Just bought a 1996 Acura 2.5 TL the radio need the code. Is there a way to bypass the code other than purchasing a new stereo system?Bought the car a week ago and the owner does not have the number..

    You can't bypass it, you need the code. You can also call the dealer with the radio's serial number. You may find the code on some docs left in the glove box, on the glove box door itself. On or near the spare tire area or even on the steering column underneath the knee panels. Good luck.

    Call the dealer, you may have to go in person so they can verify the owership.

    Actually for the year of your car, your code is located on the back of the radio. You will have to remove the radio and retrieve the code from the back of it.
