Question: Bushings on Front End Sway Bar Needing Replacement

I have been hearing a clunk in my front end when I go over a bump. The service department at my auto dealership said that the bushings on the front end sway bar are loose and need to be replacement - cost about $140 and a one hour repair job. Is this legitimate diagnosis or will it lead to other problems? This problem is not affecting the performance of my vehicle.

it sounds high. get a second opinion.

the bushings to the frame are 38 for both.
the end links are 23 for both.
1 hours for the end links and .9 for the frame bushings.

    Big difference.

That's $60 for the parts, if I understand you. However, the amount indicated in my question did include labor, so maybe this puts it more in line with the actual cost for the repair.
