Question: burnt rubber smell

Question

Visitor, Warsaw, IN, March 03, 2011, 00:36

I came home from work today. When I pulled into the the driveway I noticed smoke coming from under my hood and the smell of burned rubber. I left the car out of the garage and tried to start the car later and now it won't start. Any ideas

sounds like something seized that is run by the belt. you need to have it towed to a shop and have them check it out.

thanks alot. It turned out to be the air conditioner compressor. It is either the compressor itself or the berriings.
