Question: burnt end at the connectors of the wire harness

What causes a shorting out of the wire harness and where can I get a wiring diagram

    The power side of a cars wiring goes through the wires. Some of the return, or ground, goes through the metal part of the car. If the insulation is damaged on one of the power wires and the wire touches metal then you have a short to ground. The wire will melt because more current is flowing though the wire than it can handle. Some wiring diagrams are available from www.autozone.com.
