when the truck is cold and i`m driving down the road the truck starts to bump almost like someone is tapping me in the bumper lightly mainly when i let off of the gas but when it worms up it runs good do you think it is the torque converter

    Do you have a 4x4? Sounds more like binding up in the drivetrain more than a torque converter. Torque converter engages probably around 30-35 mph and disengages and re-engages as necessary. If there was a shudder from it, it would be fairly constant and very much like a rumble strip on the road.
