Question: Bucking Transmission

On my 2004 xc70 with 76k going up a hill at about 70 mph the transmission seems to go in and out of the final gear rapidly and bucks the car. Any ideas? Thanks

    I would start by having the Volvo dealer or a good Volvo Independent shop check for any trouble codes stored in the engine and transmission control modules, then check to see if the software is up to date in both modules. Have any trouble codes diagnosed and software updated if needed.
    After all work is performed, the shop should perform a specific test drive described by Volvo that resets the shifting adaptation of the transmission.
