Question: Broken rocker arm how much damage will it.cause

I have rebuilt thos motor. new oil pump..pion rings...gaskets..first trip out one of the rocker arms broke... two more push rods bent...

    Intake and exhaust push rods are different in length (1/4 inch I think)!Could the pushrods be mixed up? It probably didn't do damage if the rocker broke and you don't drive it. Replace rocker and check all pushrod length. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
