How do you fix a broken hood latch?

    If the latch is broken, you have to get up underneath and work your way to release the hood manually.

    If the cable is broken, you have to work to where the cable is broken, get a grip on it with some pliers and pull.

    None of which, by the way, is simple... Use patience and persistence.
