Question: breaks go soft when stopped

breaks will go soft while waiting for a light and have to be pumped to prevent rolling.

    Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir driver's rear of the engine compartment. If the fluid is low you have a leak that needs to be checked. A sinking pedal like that sounds like a failing brake master cylinder. The fluid should be clear in color not dark and dirty.
