How to change a brake light switch for a 1999 Toyota Corolla?

    It is important to adjust it correctly if you set it up with insufficient clearance the brakes will drag and burn out a clutch or warp the brake rotors. Remove the old brake light switch at the pedal, replace the switch I think the jamb nut is 14mm, I adjust it with the engine running screw the switch in until until depressing the pedal makes the brake lights work when the brake pedal is depressed 3/3 of an inch. Make sure the brake lights are not on al the time but yet do not cause the brakes to drag once they get warm.
