2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Question: brakes bucking

Question

Visitor, 2.4L 4 Cylinder, Dayton, OH, April 19, 2010, 11:21

When braking to come to a stop, the brakes feel like they are bucking. I have been hitting the brakes a lot softer and a lot sooner until I can get into the shop.

Bring it to a shop right away as it sounds like your brake pads are completely worn out and it will ruin your brake rotors if you keep driving it like this. You can get a estimate here www.repairpal.com/estimator and find a repair shop here www.repairpal.com/directory

Anti-Lock brakes will do this if you don't keep the pressure on the pedal while braking or if they are not adjusted properly.

Your brake rotors are warped from heat and wear, recommend changing the rotors and brake pads on the front
