Brakes on 2007 Pontiac G6

Had them checked and was told break pads are fine, but when I press brake pedal I hear a squeaking and grinding sound, I think from the front. Any suggestion?

Brake squeal or squeal is usually a combination of brake pad material composition and or the finish on the surface of the brake rotor. You can have the rotors machined and a non directional cross hatch put on the rotors and change to a different lining material.
