Question: Brake Warning Light

 Rookie

The brake warning light stays on all the time. The only thing I see is that the bottom brake light on boths sides left/right are not working. The top on each side is and the third works as well. What can cause the bottom brake light on both sides to not work?

    There is only one brake light on each side of your 1999 Chevrolet Venture van, so the brake lights in the rear are working normally. The red brake warning light on the dash is related to the parking brake being on or low brake fluid in the brake master cylinder. Check the brake fluid level and make sure it is full. If it is low top off the master cylinder with the correct brake fluid. If topping off the brake fluid does not turn the light off you may need the help of a qualified repair shop to properly diagnose your problem.
