brake warning light on 2000 BMW 323i

My brake warning light went on recently and I need to know how long i have to replacebefore any damage is done. Is this an easy fix? Brendan

Depends on how you drive and brake. If is thickness sensors on pads then they are thin and need to be addressed. If is hydraulic related then still needs looked at asap. Brakes are the most important item on any vehicle. Does not matter how it runs, heats up, accels, cools down, lights work or whatever---you still must STOP.
