Brake rotors for nissan on 2006 Nissan Armada

After 3 years of using my 2006 Armada I noticed vibrations on the steering mostly at low speed of coasting to stop. I brought my Armada to nissan service center and they found out that brake rotor has uneven surface and has to be replaced. They replace 2 front and 2 rear brake rotors and pads. The nissan brake rotors are thin that makes it nonmachinable or re surfaced. I asked my friends driving nissan cars (Pathfinder and Murrano). if they had the same experience with their brake rotors. The pathfinder owner said he had the same problem of replacing brake rotor sooner than he expected. What is the expected service life of brake rotors front and rear.
