The electrical brake pad wear sensors are attached to (or part of) the brake pads. They will trigger a warning on the instrument cluster when the brake pads have worn down to the point of needing replacement.

- Illumination of the brake pad wear warning indicator

- Ignoring the brake pad wear indicator may result in damage to the brake rotor(s), and in extreme cases, the brake caliper(s)
